Numismatic News was founded in 1952 by Chet Krause as a vehicle through which coin collectors outside of the big cities could trade among themselves by mail. It evolved into a weekly newspaper and is published by Krause Publications of Iola, WI, a wholly owned subsidiary of F+W Media.
Today Numismatic News serves the needs of collectors of U.S. coins and is part of a family of five periodicals that serve all aspects of numismatic collecting.

World Coin News
World Coin News is a monthly newspaper for collectors of foreign coins published by Krause Publications of Iola, Wis., a wholly owned subsidiary of F+W Media. It was founded in 1973 as a means to keep collectors updated about new world coin issues between editions of the annual Standard Catalog of World Coins, a 2,000-page guide book that helps collectors identify, categorize and value coins.
Currently, World Coin News covers the news ranging from new mint issues and auctions to historical background information. It contains feature articles and columns about collecting the coins of the countries of the world. The issues of the last 200 years are the most frequently collected and most heavily covered though a toe is dipped occasionally into issues from the ancient period through the Middle Ages. Its most popular feature is the World Coin Clinic, a column that answers reader questions of all kinds.

Bank Note Reporter
Bank Note Reporter is the premier monthly paper money collecting hobby newspaper published by Krause Publications of Iola, Wis., a wholly owned subsidiary of F+W Media. It was founded in 1973 as an electioneering vehicle by Confederate paper money specialist Grover Criswell, who was seeking the presidency of the American Numismatic Association in that year.
Bank Note Reporter serves collectors of U.S. paper money, its original audience, but also now has a strong world paper money section. News coverage focuses heavily on the major auctions that chronicle the evolution of this collectible hobby. Bound into the center of each monthly issue of Bank Note Reporter is a 44-page U.S. price guide, including an introductory commentary to point out what has changed in the past month. This price guide is easily pulled out of the paper and can be carried around for reference at shows.
